TNA Wrestling brings its high-impact brand of professional wrestling to Boston for the very first time with Slammiversary XI, a live Pay-Per-View event celebrating the company’s 11th anniversary. The PPV will feature the main event of Sting vs. Bully Ray for the World Heavyweight Championship – plus new matches have been announced! One of the new matches is our very own Taryn taking on her rival, Gail Kim. Slammiversary XI emanates live from Agganis Arena on the campus of Boston University Sunday, June 2 at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central. Gail Kim & Tara vs Taryn Terrell & Mickie James

Terrell beat up Gail as soon as the bell rang, Tara tried to nail her from behind but Mickie comes in to even the odds and drive Gail and Tara out to the floor. Terrell tosses Gail back in and continues the assault, then Mickie tags in and dishes out some punishment of her own and rolls Gail into a cross armbreaker. Gail escapes that, so Mickie takes her to the mat and hits a basement dropkick for 2. Gail dumps Mickie out to the floor and works her over out there before tossing her back inside and finally tags Tara in to do some of the work. Tara gets a hangman’s noose with the hair and then drops Mickie and covers for 2. Tara gets a bridging Muta Lock, but Mickie escapes and gets the headscissors out of the corner. They collide mid-ring and Mickie makes the hot tag, and Terrell comes in and cleans house. She comes off the top with a flying body press to Gail for 2, then she rolls Tara up and gets the win.

Winners: Taryn Terrell & Mickie James

Tara and Gail attack Mickie and Taryn after the match, Tara and Mickie fight their way out to the ramp as Gail lays in a roaring elbow and hits Eat DaFeet. Gail starts slamming Terrell’s head into the mat, then drags her to the corner and gives her the ring post figure four. Taz says he thinks Gail is going a little far.

Taryn Terrell vs Tara

Terrell goes nuts on Tara, beating her into the corner, hitting a rolling neck breaker, and then a series of hair tosses. Terrell goes back after Terrell in the corner, but she gets hotshot off the top rope and Tara starts putting the boots to her and rams her face into the mat. Now Tara hair tosses her across the ring, ODB gives her a laying down of the law before Tara gives Terrell a catapult into the corner. Tara gets Terrell in a version of the Muta Lock and then snaps back on the knee and covers Terrell for a series of two counts. Terrell tries to mount a comeback, but Tara lifts her in the air by the neck and chokes her for a 4 count before just dropping her to the mat. That’s some good power there by Tara. Tara is just toying with Terrell and doesn’t even really seem to be trying too hard to cradle her on the pin attempts. Tara catapults Terrell into the bottom rope this time and gets another couple of 2 counts, but Terrell moves out of the way of a slingshot rolling leg drop and finally starts that comeback with a series of clotheslines and a vertical suplex. Terrell goes to the top for a flying body press, but she takes too long and Tara moves out of the way. Terrell hits hard and Tara trash talks her instead of going for the kill, and I just KNOW that’s going to come back to bite her. Tara picks Terrell up and hits a twisting side suplex, but again passes up the pin, takes her time to do the ass shaking moon sault, and gets rolled up for 3.

Winner: Taryn Terrell

Joining the Knockouts competitive roster in April 2013 after a stint as the division’s in-ring official, Taryn now sets her sights on the pinnacle, the coveted Knockouts championship. “Don’t mistake me for being just a blonde,” Taryn says. “I know what I’m doing, where I’m going, and what I want… Knockouts gold.”
